Vikram married Shailaja Balakrishnan she is a Hindu from Kerala, they met in 1988 or something dated later they got married in 1992.
The couple had two kids daughter Akshitha in 1993 and son Dhruv in 1997, his daughter married politician Mr Karunanidhi’s great-grandson and his son Dhruv made his film debut with Aditya Varma.

Vikram was born in a Tamil Christian family in 1966 on April 17, his parents had inter cast love marriage, his father John Victor was a Christian and his wife Rajeshwari was a Hindu.
He was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Vikram is the eldest child in his family he also has one younger brother Arvind and his younger sister Anitha. Vikram’s brother also appeared in several films while his sister sister works as a teacher.
Vikram went for his schooling at Montfort School, after he completed his schooling he graduated from Loyola College Chennai, and did his M.A. in English, after completing his post-graduation he worked as an M.B.A programmer for a little time.

Vikram started his career as a model for brands like TVS Excel, Alwyn Watches, and Chola Tea, he also appeared in the TV serial Galattu Kudumbam in a few episodes in 1988.
When he was in his final year of M.B.A. programming he was approached by film director C.V Sridhar, Sridhar directed many films in several Indian languages like Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.
At that time Vikram was nearly 21 and he made his debut with En Kaghal Kanmani, later he appeared in so many Tamil, and Telugu films but he was strongly recognized with his film Pithamagan which was later dubbed into Telugu and he became even more popular with his acting in that film.
Vikram played a lead role in the film called Anniyan which was released in 2005, it was a huge hit and collected grossing in 2005, he did many physical experiments for his films like I, Anniyan, Pithamagan, Sethu, Iru Mugan, Deiva Thirumagal.
