Early Life

Dulquer Salmaan is the son of Malayalam superstar hero Mammootty, he was born in 1987 on 28 July, he is the younger child of his parents Mammotty and Sulfath Kutty he also has an elder sister Kutty Surumi.

He did his primary schooling at Toc-H Public School, Vyattila, in Kochi Kerala, and he completed his secondary school education at Sishya School in Chennai Tamilnadu.

His father is Mammootty a superstar in the Malayalam film industry, he also appeared in Telugu, and Tamil movies as well but primarily works in the Malayalam film industry e also produced a few movies in Malayalam.

Personal Life

Dulquer married Amal Sufiya in 2011 on December 22, it was an arranged marriage by his parents, his wife Amal belongs to north Indian but her family settled in Chennai many years ago.

The couple was blessed with a baby girl in 2017 May, he has no rumours n his life successfully leading his life with his family and continuing films in multiple languages.

He’s very funny and friendly to everyone, he donated many of his things like clothes, books, and shoes up to 150 items to the Chennai Gives the initiative program, he also acted in a short film that was made for the Motor vehicle department’s safe riding campaign of Kerala.

Film Career

Dulquer studied Business Management at Purdue University in Indiana after he completed his studies he worked in Dubai for a few months as a business manager.

While working in Dubai he was not satisfied, he was very desperate for something, and want to do something different, but he realized that it was not the path that he want to go, he was not being himself and missing something he wanted to become an actor.

So he came back to India and went to learn acting skills at Barry John Studio in Mumbai it was just a three months acting course, and after completing his acting course he came back to make his debut in films.

He made his debut with Second Show in 2012, directed by Rajendran, and it was a crime action entertainer it was okay at the box office and got good reviews from audions.

Later he acted in his second movie Ustad Hotel in the same year, it was directed by Anwar Rasheed, fortunately, it did well and received National Film Award with a commercial hit.

He also shared his screen with many other Malayalam stars like Nivin Pauly, Fahad Fazil and Nazriya Nazim in Banglore Days movie, which was released in 2014 and won many awards

He continued his acting career by acting regularly in films after doing many films he made his Telugu debut with Mahanati, which was the biography of Mahaanati Savitri.

He played the role of Gemini Ganesan in a movie acclaimed critically, he merged himself in that role and did a very good performance as Gemini Ganesan, even though Mahanati was his debut Telugu film but Telugu audions owned him.

He played a lead role in a film called Sita Raamam in Telugu, the film was the biggest industry hit in 2022, the role he played as Ram in this movie was an epic and emotional character people would never forget.

This clean romantic emotional movie made him earn a special place in Telugu people’s hearts, he made his own mark in Tollywood, Bollywood and the Malayalam Film industry.

He also made his debut in Bollywood with Karwaan, he acted in this movie with the amazing Bollywood late actor Irrfan Khan, the movie was released in 2018.

Some of his movies are still on sets and some are in the initial stage, with hattrick hits he’s going with the jet speed in the film industry.

He also worked with unique director and actor Goutham Vasudev Menon in Kannum Kannu Kollaidithaal under the direction of young director Desingh Periyasamy.

Later this movie was dubbed into many other Indian languages like Telugu It was dubbed as Kanulu Kanulanu Dochayante, it was a huge success in Telugu as well it was released in 2020, following year he did a film called Kurup which was dubbed into Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi, with this unique shade of his acting also critically acclaimed

The movie was a commercial hit and won many awards for Dulquer’s acting style in this movie he also did his own dubbing in the Telugu version of Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal.
