Mouni Roy was born on 28 Sept , 1985 at Cooch Behar , West Bengal – India . She has done her schooling from The Kendriya Vidyalaya in Baburhat, Cooch Behar. She completed her graduation with a major in English literature from Miranda House in Delhi before studying Mass Communication at Jamia Millia Islamia University. She was well trained kathak and ballerina dancer in her school and college days .
